On site management

Run by people who are here, seven days a week

Pandanus Palms is managed from the resort itself, not by a remote agency or a call centre. Reception is in the grounds, so checking in, asking what is worth doing on the island, or getting something sorted means speaking to someone who is on the property.

Reception in the grounds

Open seven days. Monday to Friday 9.00am to 4.00pm, Saturday 9.00am to 12.00pm, and Sunday and public holidays 9.00am to 11.00am.

01 / The villas

03 / The headland reserve

A thousand square metres of headland, kept for guests

An open headland reserve adjoins the resort, made available for the enjoyment of Pandanus Palms guests by the Quandamooka People. It sits on one of Point Lookout's most striking coastal vantage points, with uninterrupted views across the Coral Sea and the Pacific.

It is open to guests twenty-four hours a day, which makes it a quiet alternative to the public lookouts. A picnic blanket is supplied in every villa, so bring it along with a grazing platter made in your kitchen, a bottle of wine or a morning coffee.

Heaven. We stayed in #25 and the view was breathtaking. The apartment had everything you could want - smart tv, air conditioning, fans, large outdoor table with BBQ and an automated awning if the beautiful sunshine is too much. Could sleep 6 with the downstairs fold out sofa. The new onsite managers, Jenny and Matt, are full of energy and great to deal with. Walkable to the beach and pub, albeit with a bit of a hill coming back, but nothing too strenuous. Oh. Almost forgot - perfect spot to watch the breaching whales in season.

Recently had such a relaxing holiday at Pandanus Palms resort. Loved being so close to nature with so many kangaroos close by. The beaches are amazing. Staff were very helpful with nice clean rooms and whole resort well maintained. Will definitely go again

When we go on holiday we just want to put our feet up and chill. We recently stayed at Pandanus Palms (Villa 36) at Straddie and did exactly that. The deck provided stunning ocean/beach views as did the upstairs balcony. The villa was spacious and clean and had all we needed for a relaxing holiday. Staff were very friendly and helpful. And an added delight were the kangaroos grazing in front of our villa. Where else do you get that ?

We stayed in villa 36 for a week while my sister recovered from surgery. The management were amazing, and so helpful. We had an amazing view of the beach where we could see whales in the morning. The apartment was beautifully maintained and cleanliness was top notch. Would happily stay here again and recommend to my friends and family
